Getting your website started

The start of the process usually begins with a discussion by telephone or email about your requirements. I will typically ask.
- Do you know how you want your website to look? If yes can you provide references?
- Is this website project a redesign or a new website?
If you wish to redesign a website, what do you like or dislike about your existing website? - Do you have a logo and a slogan for your business?
- Do you already have company colours and styling?
- Keywords and keyword phrases are very important to a websites search engine optimisation. What would you type in a search engine to find your services?
- Who are your competitors?
What do you like / dislike about their websites? - How many pages do you potentially see for your website?
- Will you be able to supply all photos, custom graphics or text for the site?
- Do you require any other components on your site, for example questionnaire forms, feedback forms, newsletters, animation, photo Gallery?
- Do you require the facility to update content yourself?

Send me your wording and any pictures you want included. You can email your wording and pictures.
Alternatively you can put all your wording and images in a folder and send it to me using the form below. This is useful if your file sizes are large. You will need to convert the folder you send to a .zip folder.
Instructions to convert a folder into a .zip folder
Right click the folder you want to send / Select Send To / Select Compressed (zipped) Folder. A .zip folder will be created, select that folder to send by clicking the browse/choose button below..

I build a first draft web design for you to view. You let me know if your happy with the design or whether you would like to make some adjustments.

Once you are happy with the design I put your website on the internet under your domain name.

As soon as your website has been indexed by Google and other search engines I asses page rank and where necessary tune up on-site optimisation. (continual on-site SEO option)
I continue to regularly monitor your websites rank and make any necessary adjustments to maintain or improve its position. (continual on-site SEO option)
